NTSAP Gears Up for 2026 Through Cobot Upskilling

The National TVET Schools Association of the Philippines (NTSAP) starts 2026 with a strong focus on upskilling and higher technology as it conducts a 5-day Training of Trainers (TOT) on Collaborative Robot, led by NTSAP President and CEO, Dr. Mary Grace Rosalia N. Gulan.
Held on January 5–9, 2026, the training took place at Mary Grace International Education, Inc. (MGIE) under the leadership of Dr. Mary Grace Rose Gulan, with the close collaboration of three TVIs that worked with her to make this initiative possible, gathering 21 participants:
• Southern Institute of Maritime Studies (SIMS) – Dr. Glenn Mark Blasquez
• Lyceum of Alabang – Dr. Danilo Ayap
• College of Saint Amatiel – Dr. Pete B. Trumata
This initiative was carried out in partnership with Hytec Power Inc., led by its President, Engr. Eric Jude Soliman, ensuring strong industry alignment and hands-on exposure to Collaborative Robot technology.
While this program supports preparation for the upcoming Skills Competitions, it goes beyond competition readiness. The Collaborative Robot upskilling is fully aligned with TESDA’s mandate to advance higher technology training, strengthen trainer competencies, and ensure TVET institutions remain responsive to the evolving demands of automation and industry.
The program focused on:
• Developing new trainers and coaches
• Upskilling current trainers and former competitors
• Preparing future competitors through structured, high-technology training
Through this initiative, NTSAP reaffirms its commitment to quality, relevance, and innovation in TVET, ensuring Filipino skills are future-ready, not only for competition but for industry and national development.
